The problem this shampoo solves. Bleaching, frequent coloring, flat irons, curling irons and hot blow-drying gradually destroy the cuticle — the outer, scaly layer of the hair. The scales lift, the surface becomes rough, and the hair turns porous: it absorbs water quickly and loses it just as fast. Hence the familiar picture: hair tangles, frizzes, looks dull, and the ends split. An aggressive sulfate shampoo only makes things worse: it washes away the remaining lipids and proteins, and after washing the strands "squeak" and snap when combed. KeraLock is a gentle alternative: clean hair without dryness, with the first signs of smoothness even before conditioner.

How the formula works. The cleansing base is built from mild sulfate-free surfactants (Sulfate-Free). It effectively removes sebum, styling residue and street dust, yet doesn't strip hair to a squeak, and the lather is dense and creamy. The most interesting part happens during rinsing. Damaged areas of the hair carry a negative charge, while the conditioning polymer and cationic silicone in the formula are positively charged. That is why they deposit selectively, primarily where the cuticle is most damaged, and leave a thin smoothing layer. Small fragments of hydrolyzed proteins fill in surface irregularities. As a result, hair doesn't tangle even under running water and lies smoother after drying.

Actives in the formula and their role:

• Hydrolyzed keratin (Hydrolyzed Keratin) — a broken-down protein related to the main structural protein of hair. Its fragments adsorb onto the damaged cuticle, even it out and make the strand feel denser.
• Hydrolyzed wheat protein — wheat peptides attract and retain moisture, restore bounce to hair and relieve the "straw-like" feel.
• Hydrolyzed collagen — forms a smooth moisturizing film on the surface, adding elasticity and a soft shine.
• Panthenol (provitamin B5) — moisturizes the hair shaft and scalp, making hair softer and more elastic.
• Cationic silicone and conditioning polymer — make wet hair easier to comb and eliminate static; they act selectively, so they don't add heaviness at the roots.
• Chelating agent — binds hard-water salts that settle on hair as a dull film and interfere with lathering.
• Citric acid — regulates the formula's acidity.

What you'll notice. After the very first wash, hair is easier to comb, tangles less along the lengths and doesn't get staticky. After drying, the surface looks smoother, the ends neater, and a natural shine appears. With regular use alongside the KeraLock conditioner and mask, hair becomes more manageable and feels denser, styles hold better, and there is less frizz in humid weather. To be honest about the limits: the shampoo does not "seal" split ends forever and does not replace a haircut — it cares for the length you have and helps prevent new damage from building up.
