Which sulfate-free shampoo to choose

Every shampoo in the Cosmex Professional line is built on a sulfate-free base; they differ in actives. For coloured hair — Color Expert, for dark hair — Black Edition, for blonde hair with yellow tones — the toning Anti-Yellow Effect.

For dry and brittle hair — Hydration; for hair damaged by colouring and heat — Keratin, Repair and Botox; for fine hair — Volume and Collagen; for curly and wavy hair — Curly Expert. For an oily scalp — Balance, for dandruff — Anti-Dandruff, for hair loss — Trichology and Peptide Growth.

The main format is one litre, 1000 ml. The OverDose series comes in 250 ml bottles.

What cleanses instead of sulfates

Cosmex Professional shampoos use Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco-Glucoside and Decyl Glucoside; some formulas add Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate and Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. These are mild surfactants derived from coconut feedstock and amino acids: they cleanse the scalp while stripping fewer lipids and less colour pigment than lauryl sulfates.

Sulfates appear on an ingredient list as SLS, SLES, ALS, ALES or Sodium Coco-Sulfate. None of them is used in Cosmex Professional shampoos — the full INCI list is shown on every product page.
