Why you need a conditioner after shampoo. Every wash, even with the gentlest shampoo, slightly lifts the cuticle scales and leaves a negative charge on the hair. Healthy hair handles this easily, but damaged hair — bleached, color-treated, or heat-styled — immediately responds with tangles, breakage during combing, and frizz. The balm closes the cuticle scales, neutralizes the charge, and leaves hair smooth. For weakened lengths this isn't a "nice bonus" — it's an essential step: every extra stroke of a brush through wet, tangled hair means new chips and breaks.

How KeraLock works. The balm is a creamy emulsion based on fatty alcohols and cationic conditioning agents. Positively charged molecules are attracted to damaged, negatively charged areas and form a smooth layer over them — the cuticle closes, strands stop snagging on each other. At the same time, hydrolyzed proteins fill in surface irregularities, while lightweight oils and squalane soften the hair and restore its shine. The result: wet hair detangles with almost no effort, and dried hair looks smoother and denser.

What's in the formula:

• Hydrolyzed Keratin — protein fragments related to the hair's own keratin. They fill areas where the cuticle is damaged, making each strand smoother and more resilient.
• Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein — retains moisture inside and on the surface of the hair, adds elasticity, and reduces brittleness at dry ends.
• Hydrolyzed Collagen — forms a thin moisturizing film, adding softness and silkiness.
• Plant-derived squalane (from olives) — a lightweight emollient related to the lipids in sebum. Softens hair and adds a healthy shine without greasiness.
• Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides — a lightweight oil emollient that nourishes and smooths lengths without weighing them down.
• Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) — moisturizes, improves hair elasticity, and helps reduce breakage.
• Vitamin E (tocopherol) — an antioxidant that protects the formula's lipids and the hair from oxidation.
• Conditioning polymer — additionally reduces static and makes combing easier.

A note on what's not in the formula. KeraLock contains no silicones whatsoever: smoothness is delivered by conditioning agents, proteins, and oils. This means no heavy film builds up on the hair, and the balm can be used after every wash. The formula is also free of parabens.

What you'll notice. First — detangling: wet hair unravels easily and fewer broken strands are left on the comb. Second — the feel: lengths become soft and smooth, and ends stop sticking out. After drying, hair is less prone to static and frizz, and a natural shine appears.
