Where split ends come from.

The ends are the oldest part of the hair. If your hair reaches your shoulder blades, its ends are already several years old, and all that time they have endured brushing, friction against scarves and clothing, blow-drying, flat irons, coloring, sun and hard water. The protective cuticle layer gradually wears away, leaving the inner fibers of the hair exposed. They lose their connection with each other and start to separate — this is how the familiar "fork" at the end of a hair appears. The split can then travel further up, the ends become dry and coarse, tangle and break off, and the hairstyle loses its neat outline.

The honest truth about repair.

A split end cannot be permanently glued back together — the only radical solution to this problem is a haircut. But the serum can do a lot else: visually seal ends that have already split, smooth them, make the hair more elastic and protect it from further splitting and breakage. So the best scenario is this: have your ends refreshed by a stylist, then use REPAIR ENDS regularly so the ends stay neat longer and the haircut holds its shape.

How the formula works.

REPAIR ENDS relies on two silicones with different roles. A volatile silicone makes the texture light, provides instant slip and helps distribute the care evenly, then gradually evaporates. The second, non-volatile silicone stays on the hair and forms a thin, flexible film: it binds the separating fibers, smooths the end and reduces the friction that keeps the ends splitting. It is the presence of the non-volatile silicone that sets this serum apart from the lighter serums in the line: it is denser and designed for targeted work on the problem area. Meanwhile, the oils and the protein component soften the hair and care for its damaged surface.

Components and their roles:

• Argan oil. Rich in fatty acids, it softens dry, coarse ends and restores their elasticity and natural shine.
• Keratrix plant keratin. A protein component that works on damaged areas of the hair: it helps make them denser and smoother, and the ends less brittle.
• Non-volatile silicone. Seals split ends, creates a protective film and reduces friction.
• Volatile silicone. Responsible for easy application, slip and instant smoothness.
• Squalane and caprylic/capric triglycerides. Light emollients that soften and help the care spread without a greasy residue.
• Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E). An antioxidant that protects the oils in the formula from oxidation.
