Why hair loses its shine.

Shine is light reflecting off a smooth surface. Healthy hair is covered by the cuticle, whose scales lie tightly against each other like tiles on a roof, so light reflects off them evenly. Coloring, bleaching, heat styling, hard water, sun and daily brushing gradually lift and thin these scales. The surface becomes rough, light scatters — and hair looks dull even when it is clean and well cared for. Rough hair also absorbs moisture from the air more readily and swells, which is where frizz, unruly strands and that "straw" feel at the ends come from. A serum has to solve both problems at once: smooth the surface without turning hair into heavy, stringy clumps.

How SHINE & SMOOTH works.

The serum is built on a volatile silicone. It gives instant slip, spreads easily along the lengths and helps distribute the caring oils in an ultra-thin, even layer. After application the volatile component gradually evaporates, leaving a light, smooth film of oils and emollients on the hair. This film flattens lifted scales, "seals" the cuticle and evens out the hair surface — light reflects better, frizz goes away and strands lie neatly. Because most of the silicone base evaporates, the serum leaves no greasy residue and does not stick hair together.

Ingredients in detail.

• Argan oil. It is listed second, right after the silicone base, which means the formula really does contain a lot of it. Argan oil is rich in fatty acids, softens hair, makes it more elastic and is responsible for that deep, "living" shine.
• Squalane. A lightweight emollient related to our skin's own lipids. It spreads quickly, softens the lengths and enhances smoothness without leaving an oily feel.
• Caprylic/capric triglycerides. A light, non-sticky emollient oil that improves slip and helps the argan oil spread evenly over the hair.
• Dimethiconol. A non-volatile silicone: it stays on the hair as a thin, smooth film and boosts shine.
• Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E). An antioxidant that protects the oils in the formula from oxidation and keeps the serum stable.
• Volatile silicone. Responsible for the light texture, instant smoothness and even distribution.

Why the formula is water-free.

SHINE & SMOOTH contains no water, so there is no need for a preservative: a water-free formula doesn't require one. All six ingredients work toward the result — no thickeners, no emulsifiers, no colorants. That is why the serum is so concentrated and economical.

What you will see.

The effect is visible right after application: hair feels smooth to the touch, frizz goes away, an even shine appears along the lengths and styling sits more neatly. Strands comb through easily and tangle less. With regular use the lengths look more cared-for and healthy, and the ends frizz less and look neater.
