What makes fine hair tricky.

Fine hair has a small diameter, so it has almost nothing to “lean on”: any extra weight instantly flattens the strands against the head and robs them of volume. If the scalp is prone to oiliness, things get twice as difficult — a heavy oil on the lengths does add shine, but not the kind you want to see. At the same time, fine hair needs smoothness more than any other type: it tangles easily, gets static, the ends frizz, and after blow-drying a little cloud of flyaways forms around the head. It becomes a vicious circle: without care, hair looks untidy; with an ordinary serum, it looks heavy and greasy. LIGHT breaks this circle.

How LIGHT works.

The base of the formula is a light volatile silicone, listed first in the ingredients. It spreads instantly, smooths the hair surface, tames frizz and gives an even shine, then evaporates without leaving any heaviness on the hair. There are fewer nourishing oils here than in the richer serums of the line. Look at the ingredient list: argan oil sits near the end, after the light emollients, whereas in the richer Cosmex Hair Serum SHINE & SMOOTH it comes second. This is a deliberate choice — the argan oil is there, but in just the amount needed to soften the lengths, not weigh them down. There is only one non-volatile silicone in the formula — dimethiconol, and there is little of it: it comes after squalane and leaves only a thin, smooth film on the hair rather than a dense layer.

Why a volatile silicone is fine hair's friend.

Volatile silicones act as a temporary carrier for care: at the moment of application they give hair slip and smoothness, help spread the oils along the lengths in the thinnest layer, and then evaporate. Only the little that is really needed stays on the hair — a light softening film. Thanks to this, the serum doesn't build up on the lengths from one application to the next and doesn't require a harsh shampoo to wash it out. For fine hair this is the key condition: the care is there, the heaviness isn't.

What's in the formula:

• Volatile silicone — the base of the serum. Gives smoothness, slip and shine, then evaporates.
• Caprylic/capric triglycerides — one of the lightest, non-sticky emollient oils; softens hair without a greasy trace.
• Squalane — a light emollient similar to skin lipids; absorbs quickly and adds softness.
• Dimethiconol — a non-volatile silicone in a small amount: enhances smoothness and shine.
• Argan oil — in a small amount, for elasticity and natural shine.
• Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) — an antioxidant that keeps the oils in the formula fresh.

What results to expect.

Hair stays light and bouncy but becomes noticeably smoother: less frizz, no static, easier to comb and style. The lengths get a neat, even shine rather than an oily gloss. Strands don't clump together, the hairstyle keeps its airiness, and the roots don't look dirty ahead of time if you apply the serum correctly.
