What the set solves. Hand skin and cuticles dry out faster than you'd think — from frequent handwashing, sanitizers, filing and machine work during a manicure, and indoor heating. Cream or oil applied to very dry skin doesn't absorb as well, and that tight feeling after a treatment tends to linger. A hydrolat is a simple first step that restores moisture to the skin and makes the next layer of care (oil, cream) more comfortable to apply. The same bottle works for the face and hair too, so it won't just sit on the shelf collecting dust.

What is a hydrolat. A hydrolat, or floral water, is the aqueous base of a plant — water with water-soluble plant components dissolved in it and a gentle natural scent. It's fundamentally different from an essential oil: essential oils are concentrated and need to be diluted and measured in drops, while a hydrolat is gentle, applied directly, and suitable for frequent use. Unlike creams and oils, it leaves no film and doesn't weigh skin down.

What's in the set and the role of each product:

• Rose hydrolat — toning and refreshing. Rose is a classic in face and hand skincare: it gently moisturizes, refreshes, and leaves a subtle floral scent on the skin. Great in the morning before applying cream, and as a lovely finishing touch after a manicure.
• Aloe vera hydrolat — soothing and moisturizing. Aloe is traditionally used for skin that's dried out, feeling tight, or irritated — after filing and cuticle work, after shaving, after a long day in the sun or wind. Its scent is quieter, with no pronounced floral notes.

Why two hydrolats and not one. Each product has its own character, and together they cover more situations. Rose is handy for daily face toning and feel-good care, while aloe is there for moments when your skin needs calming. You can alternate them by time of day (rose in the morning, aloe in the evening) or divide them by area: aloe for hands and cuticles after a treatment, rose for face and décolleté.

Hydrolats in manicure and pedicure. The set is in the manicure care section, and it has several practical use cases there:

• After a manicure: apply aloe hydrolat to the skin of the hands and around the nails, let it absorb for a couple of minutes, then massage oil into the cuticles. Oil spreads more easily over slightly damp skin.
• Between treatments: refresh hand skin throughout the day, especially after washing and using sanitizer, then apply cream.
• In the salon: rose hydrolat makes a pleasant final step in a hand care service — clients leave with fresh skin and a light scent.
• After a pedicure: refresh the skin of the feet and between the toes, then apply cream or oil.

Important: a hydrolat is a skincare product — it does not replace antiseptic treatment or instrument sterilization.

Face, body, and hair. After cleansing, apply the hydrolat to a cotton pad and wipe the face, or spritz it directly onto the skin if your bottle has a spray nozzle — then apply your serum or cream. During the day, a hydrolat refreshes skin in the heat or in dry indoor environments. On the body — after a shower, before cream. On hair — a light spritz along the length before combing, or to freshen hair between washes. Another tried-and-true tip: use a hydrolat instead of water to mix powder masks, such as clay masks.

What you'll notice. Right after application — a feeling of freshness and moisturized skin without any stickiness. Cream and oil spread more easily over skin that's been prepped with a hydrolat, and cuticles look neater. With regular use, your daily hand care routine becomes noticeably more comfortable, especially during heating season and in cold weather.
