Cosmex emollients — care for very dry skin
An emollient doesn’t “moisturise on top” — it rebuilds the lipid layer and keeps water in.
Emollients replenish skin lipids and hold moisture — the go-to care for very dry, rough, atopic-prone skin. At Cosmex this is the urea creams: urea at care concentrations softens rough patches (elbows, heels, keratosis-pilaris “goosebumps”) and binds water, while panthenol and squalane restore. Body cream-lotions with oils complete the line for daily after-shower care. Made in-house in Almaty.
Frequently asked questions
What is an emollient in plain words?+
A product that softens skin and stops water from evaporating: oily components integrate into the lipid barrier, humectants (urea, glycerin) hold water. It works until the next wash, not just for hours.
Is it suitable for atopic dermatitis?+
Emollients are the basic care for atopy, but a treatment plan for a diagnosis comes from a dermatologist. Our products are cosmetics, not medicine.
How often to apply?+
Daily after a shower on slightly damp skin; problem zones twice a day.
