**In short:** Brassiness in blonde, highlighted and grey hair is removed by purple pigment, which sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel. Use Anti-Yellow toning shampoo 1–2 times a week and leave it on for 3–5 minutes; on other days use a regular sulfate-free shampoo.

## How to use purple shampoo

Apply to wet hair, lather and leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse. Leave it too long and you may get a lilac tint; it washes out in 1–2 washes with a regular shampoo.
